PMS configuration is where the connectivity details are configured. Having PMS connection in place is an important step, though the system works without getting data about reservations, PMS data provides valuable data about guest reservations and builds a database of guests from their reservations.
PMS sync can be one-way (push) where the platform will get information about the reservations in a read only way and a 2-way where the platform can provide additional benefits to guests like getting them checked in automatically with credit card authorization and be able to skip the front desk stop and go to their room directly.
There are many PMS systems we integrate with and this step usually requires configuring the PMS api and webhooks to hit lasoexperience endpoints. In case of on-prem PMS systems it is required to open up firewall and configure access from platform egress IP. The IP will be shown in the PMS configuration screen.
